DSC_0670As part of its partnership with the show “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” JetBlue Airways unveiled an Airbus A320 named Shantay Blue Stay. The new moniker is an homage to the show’s catchphrase, “Shantay, you stay,” which RuPaul says to the drag queen contestant who gets to stay on the show, while the other is eliminated with the words, “sashay away.”

Meanwhile, two of the show’s most famous contestants – Bob the Drag Queen, winner of Season 8, and Trixie Mattel, winner of Season 3 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars – appear as flight attendants in a spoof of a safety video that introduces the new plane.

The carrier, according to the video, is “the only airline fierce enough” to name one of its planes, Shantay Blue Stay.

The two drag queens advise passengers to keep their seatbelts fastened in case of “unexpected opulence” and tell one passenger who rings the call button, “Ma’am, we will have your fingers removed.”

The aircraft also features JetBlue’s new Spotlight tailfin design, which includes fierce splashes of the airline’s signature blue and orange colors.
