IMG_6685 (1)Citibank said it will discontinue offering multiple travel-related benefits on most of its credit cards starting in September.

The country’s third largest bank said it will no longer cover car rental insurance, trip cancellation insurance, worldwide accident insurance, trip delay protection, baggage delay protection, and medical evacuation assistance, along with several other non-travel benefits.

Other changes being discontinued include 90-day return protection, roadside assistance, travel and emergency assistance services, and Citi Price Rewind, a price protection service.

The changes are taking place “due to sustained low usage,” the bank said, explaining that, by discontinuing these features, it can “continue providing key benefits our customers use and value most at no additional cost.”

The changes go into effect September 22, 2019.
