IMG_1349Marriott International announced that the W Atlanta – Midtown completed a major renovation project.

The work encompassed all 466 guest rooms and all public space, as well as 40,000 square feet (3,716 square meters) of meeting space.

The redesigned guest rooms feature a “playful” music-inspired décor that the hotel said stems from its passion for music. The rooms feature Bluetooth speakers and flat screen televisions, and there are rain showerheads in the bathroom.

The lobby area, which W hotels refer to as the Welcome space, has high ceilings with chandeliers shaped like birdcages. In contrast, the Living Room, the hotel’s lobby bar, has a dark, “forbidden garden” décor with a somewhat of an Art Deco look to it.

The W Atlanta – Midtown, one of the largest W Hotels in the world, first opened its doors in 2009.
