United Airlines Economy Plus New York LaGuardia-Chicago O’Hare – Flight Review
A flight attendant offered to hang up my jacket but since I had three seats to myself, I declined.
FLIGHT PLAN
The Airbus pushed back from the gate at 7:59 a.m., one minute early. We proceeded from the gate to the runway without stopping and were wheels up at 8:32 a.m., 22 minutes behind schedule.
The Airbus pushed back from the gate at approximately 8:18 a.m., 18 minutes late. The delay was due to a problem printing some documents for the flight manifest. We proceeded from the gate to the runway, experienced a relatively brief wait for a take-off slot, and were wheels up at 8:32 a.m., 22 minutes behind schedule.
Our flight path took us on a northeasterly heading from LaGuardia over Queens, the Bronx, and Westchester County. With clear skies, we had excellent views of the two bridges where the East River meets the Long Island Sound, the Whitestone and the Throgs Neck.
Turning west, we continued over northern New Jersey, northeast Pennsylvania, and southwest New York State. We crossed over Lake Erie and briefly continued in Canadian airspace westward over London, Ontario, and reentered U.S. airspace over Detroit, Michigan.
At that point, we headed south towards Lake Michigan and then due west for the final approach into Chicago O’Hare.
