IMG_1467Marriott International’s JW Marriott unit announced the completion of a multi-million dollar renovation project at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London.

The work included all public spaces and guest rooms and was directed by Hirsch Bedner Associates and GA Design.

“The reintroduction of the iconic JW Marriott Grosvenor House London signifies an exciting milestone as the property celebrates its ninetieth anniversary this year” said Mitzi Gaskins, vice president of luxury brand management at Marriott.

The updated lobby features floor-to ceiling glass between the entrance and the Park Room restaurant along with a décor utilizing neutral colors with accents that echo the changing seasons.

The redesigned guestrooms, the hotel said, feature warm neutral colors with gray carpet with golden leaves to evoke nearby Hyde Park in the fall.  Throughout the property, artwork commissioned by the hotel tells the story of travel between London, New York, and Paris in the early twentieth century.

Grosvenor House’s the Park Room restaurant, with a décor that calls to mind an English country house,  offers British fare such as Cornish shellfish bisque and traditional English sandwiches and features views of Hyde Park .  It serves afternoon tea and offers live music from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.  Other dining options include the JW Steakhouse, the steakhouse’s Bourbon Bar, and the Red Bar cocktail lounge. Finally, Corrigan’s Mayfair serves British and Irish dishes.
