Hawaiian Air to Offer Non-Stop Service to Fukuoka, Japan
Hawaiian Airlines said Tuesday it plans to offer new non-stop service from its hub in Honolulu to Fukuoka, Japan starting in November.
Flights between Daniel K. Inouye International Airport and Fukuoka Airport will be operated using the airline’s Airbus A330 aircraft, which feature 18 lie-flat seats in a 2-2-2 configuration in the airline’s Premium Cabin, 68 seats in premium economy lite and 192 seats in coach.
The new service, which would operate four times a week, is subject to government approval.
Fukuoka is the capital city of the Fukuoka Prefecture and is on the island of Kyushu. It is Japan’s sixth largest city and hosts over two million visitors each year, who come to see Fukuoka Castle, the city’s many parks and temples, and Fukuoka Tower, a 768-foot (234-meter) structure whose observation deck is very popular for observing magnificent sunsets.
