Aeromexico Posts Drop in Traffic, Capacity for March

DSC_0328 (2)Aeromexico announced operational results for April 2019. The Mexico City-based carrier saw a decrease in traffic and capacity, as well as in its load factor.

The airline’s total passenger traffic for the month was 3.41 billion revenue passenger kilometers, or RPKs, a decrease of 1.9% from 3.48 RPKs in the same month last year. On the domestic side of operations, the carrier reported a 9.2% decrease while the international side reported a 1.3% increase.

The carrier reported a total capacity of 4.15 billion available seat kilometers, or ASKs, a 1.7% decrease from 4.23 billion ASKs in April of last year.

The airline’s total load factor for April was 82.2%, a decrease of 0.1 percentage points, from 82.3% the previous April.

In addition, the airline carried 1.69 million passengers in April, a 6.4% year-over-year drop.
