IMG_3583Just weeks after announcing a major shift to online sales, Tesla said it would end online sales of its recently released $35,000 version of its new Model 3 sedan.

The Model 3 is Tesla’s lowest-price electric vehicle and the $35,000 version was released last month, following the release of higher priced variants of the car.

In order to order the least expensive Model 3, the Standard model as Tesla calls it, “customers will need to call us or visit any one of the several hundred Tesla stores,” the company said in a post on its blog.

The news came as Tesla announced it was making its Autopilot semi-autonomous driving feature standard on all of its vehicles.

The Palo Alto-based automaker also announced that the Standard would be a “software-limited” version of the Model 3 Standard Plus While the features will be present in the vehicle, Tesla will disable heated seats, onboard music streaming, and navigation with live traffic visualization and constrain the vehicle’s range by 10%.
