IMG_8285JetBlue Airways announced it will begin new daily service between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Guayaquil, Ecuador on December 5.

The new route will become the longest in the airline’s network by over 200 nautical miles (370 kilometers).

Flights will depart New York at 2 p.m. and arrive at José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport in Guayaquil at 9:04 p.m. Return flights are scheduled to depart at 10:55 p.m. and arrive at 5:13 a.m. the next morning.

The new route will be made possible by the addition of Airbus A321neo aircraft to JetBlue’s fleet. The A321neo has a longer range and higher fuel capacity than the carrier’s other planes. The airline is set to take delivery of its first one this spring.
