IMG_7743British Airways said Monday it plans to change the cost of partner award redemptions made by Executive Club members using Avios, the frequent-flyer program’s currency.

The change was announced in an e-mail to members of British Airways’ Executive Club and goes into effect next month.

“From 30 May 2019, we’ll be changing our Avios prices on reward flights with some of our partner airlines,” the airline said in the e-mail message.

The airline did not say what the changes in pricing will be, however.

The program said it is not changing the pricing for flights on British Airways, Aer Lingus, Iberia, or Vueling.

The list of airlines that will be impacted by the change includes Alaska Airlines, Air Italy, American Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Japan Airlines, LATAM, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Qatar Airways, S7, Sri Lankan, and Royal Jordanian Airlines.
