Amazon announced the launch of a free, ad-supported music service on Thursday.

The service allows Alexa device owners in the United States who don’t already have a subscription to Amazon Music Unlimited or an Amazon Prime membership to listen tune in. The service, which offers a variety of music, is compatible with the Amazon Echo and other compatible Alexa-enabled devices.

Users can ask Alexa to play stations based on specific artists, eras, genres, or songs and can also request Amazon Music’s top global playlists.

In addition, Amazon added availability of Apple Music for Sonos speakers such as the Sonos One and Sonos Beam.

Users in the United States, United Kingdom, and Ireland can use Alexa to control Apple Music. Users must add the Apple Music Skill to the Alexa app for this to function.

Once added, Sonos speaker owners can tell Alexa to “Play Beats 1 Radio on Apple Music” or “Play Hello! Radio on Apple Music” to hear the same service they would hear on an iPhone or iPad or even an Apple HomePod speaker.
