Hilton announced the completion of portions of a $35 million renovation project at the DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago-Magnificent Mile.

A new feature is fitness-oriented guest rooms as part of an overall redesign. The first has been added and more are on the way.

These new guest rooms, which have been branded Five Feet to Fitness, include a variety of types of fitness equipment ranging from an indoor bike, a dynamic Gym Rax functional training station that offers high-intensity interval training style workouts to guests.

The hotel’s updated guest rooms feature a modern décor with a blue and grey color palette and wooden furniture as well as an upholstered window seat. In-room artwork highlights architecturally significant buildings located in the Windy City.

The hotel also completed what it calls its open-concept lobby.  The design, according to Hilton, encourages socializing and the property’s Hothouse restaurant and bar offer cocktails and local craft beer. Another addition is the new grab-and-go Made Market.
