Marriott to Add 30 Luxury Hotels to Its Portfolio in 2019

Marriott International said it plans to open more than 30 new luxury properties in the course of 2019.

The new hotels will include those under the Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, W, Luxury Collection, Bulgari, and JW Marriott brands.

The list of new hotels will include the St. Regis Venice and the St. Regis Hong Kong, and eight new W hotels, including the W Aspen, W Melbourne, and the W San Francisco. The list also includes Luxury Hotel Collection properties in Budapest, Buckinghamshire, Cesme, and Okinawa, JW Marriott properties in the Maldives, Savannah, and Shanghai, as well as a new Edition hotel in West Hollywood.

Marriott’s Ritz-Carlton unit will open six new hotels in 2019 including the Ritz-Carlton, Perth; the Ritz-Carlton, Mexico City; and the Ritz-Carlton, Xi’an. The hotelier also expects to complete a major renovation project at the Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park.
