Alaska Airlines Plans New Lounge for San Francisco International Airport
Alaska Airlines said it will build a new 8,500-square-foot (790-square-meter) lounge on the top floor of Terminal 2 at San Francisco International Airport.
The new lounge will feature views of the Bay and the airport’s runways and will open in 2020.
The lounge’s décor will represent brands and design elements from the Bay Area, the airline said. Dining options will emphasize those which are fresh and healthy including Greek yoghurt, steel-cut oatmeal, and hardboiled eggs in the morning, plus salads, soups, and a tapas bar later in the day. The lounge will also offer menu items for purchase including a Korean rice bowl and an egg-and-brioche sandwich.
Another feature of the lounge will be an Alaska Lounge barista, and the bar will feature beer from local microbreweries and wines from the region.
