The new resort, located in the Nusa Dua area of Bali, will open its doors to guests on February 1, 2019. Its design pays homage to the island’s natural landscape and incorporates multiple waterfalls. A 250-step Grand Staircase that was inspired by Bali’s Pura Besakih water temple runs through the center of the property.

The Apurva Kempinski Bali will offer guests a choice of 475 guest rooms, suites, and villas, all with views of the island. The hotel features six restaurants, bars, and lounges including Koral, a seafood restaurant, and Izakaya by Oku, a Japanese restaurant that is an outpost of Oku, a restaurant at the Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta.

Leisure options for guests include a spa that offers treatments inspired by traditional Balinese healing practices, a fitness center, a 196-foot (60-meter) long swimming pool and separate children’s pool, the Family Club, which offers a variety of activities for guests during their visit, and a private beach on the Indian Ocean. The hotel also offers a gallery that offers jewelry and clothing created by local artisans.

The hotel’s 11,600-square-foot (1,076-square-meter) Grand Ballroom seats 900 and provides ocean views. The hotel also has multiple smaller meeting room. Receptions can be held on the hotel’s 23,680-square-foot (2,200-square-meter) ocean-facing lawn as well.
