American Express announced the opening of an expanded Centurion Lounge at Miami International Airport.

The renovation adds 4,000 square feet (372 square meters) of space, over 100 additional seats, a larger food and beverage area, and a wine bar. It also adds additional W.C.s, a second tranquility area, and two telephone booths.

The lounge will also offer a refreshed menu that includes a Greek yoghurt bar and orange ricotta pancakes with citrus cream at breakfast plus chilled soups, fresh sandwiches, and chimichurri chicken throughout the day.

The lounge, which first opened in June 2015, is located in the North Terminal and “has become the most popular lounge in the Centurion network, with 380,608 total visitors in the first 12 months of operation,” according to a statement in the filing to the Miami-Dade County legislature. Its popularity has translated into waiting lists to enter the club and American Express said this customer satisfaction has been “diminished” because of overcrowding.

Other Centurion Lounge locations include Dallas, Hong Kong, Houston, Las Vegas, New York (LaGuardia), Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Seattle. The company expects to open new lounges in Charlotte, Denver, London, Los Angeles, and New York (JFK).
