Built in a structure designed by Savoyard architect and city planner Maurice Novarina as an office building on a site where several private residences, including that of Princess Mathilde and avant-garde fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli, the hotel has 75 guest rooms, including 35 suites.   The interior was designed by Philippe Renaud and the Dokhan family, which owns the property, using multiple themes that range from vibrant colors to ancient Chinese furniture.

“Hôtel de Berri embodies sophistication and glamour,” said Anthony Ingham, Marriott’s Luxury Collection brand leader.

The décor of the guest rooms varies greatly – the room categories range from Superior to Deluxe to multiple suite categories – and offer a separate sitting area, soundproof windows, and marble bathrooms with heated floors and Skinjay Aromatherapy showers.

The hotel features Parisian art and design work throughout the property including the work of artists including Giacometti, Jean-Michel Frank, and Henri Samuel.

Amenities include a 33,000-square-foot (3,000-square-meter) landscaped garden that is a legacy of the hotel’s past as the site of several private residences of notable figures.

In addition to a breakfast room, dining options for guests include Le Schiap, an Italian restaurant, and Le Bizazz, a bar that overlooks the private garden and offers coffee, light snacks, and cocktails.

The Hôtel de Berri is located near the Champs-Élysées on the Rue de Berri in the fashionable eighth arrondissement.
