JetBlue Sees Rise in Traffic, Capacity for November

DSC_0670JetBlue Airways announced operational results for November 2018. The carrier said that its total traffic, capacity, and load factor were all up for the month.

The New York-based airline’s passenger traffic was 4.11 billion revenue passenger miles, or RPMs, a year-over-year increase of 9.7% from 3.74 billion RPMs in the same period last year.

JetBlue’s capacity increased by 10.6% to 4.92 billion available seat miles, or ASMs, from 4.45 billion ASMs in November 2017.

Meanwhile, the carrier’s passenger load factor for the month was 83.5%, down 0.7 percentage points from 84.2% last November.

The airline said its preliminary completion factor was 99.3% and its on-time performance was 71.2%. It also updated its guidance for fourth quarter revenue per available seat mile, or RASM. RASM is expected to be in the range of 1.5% to 3.5%.
