Air Canada announced several executive changes.

The airline appointed Michael Rousseau to the position of deputy chief executive officer and chief financial officer and Craig Landry to the position of executive vice president, operations.

Both are based in Montreal and report to Calin Rovinescu, the airline’s CEO.

In August, Benjamin Smith, then Air Canada’s chief operating officer and president, resigned to take the position of CEO at Air France-KLM. Smith had been considered a likely successor to Rovinescu at the time.

In addition, in May, David I. Richardson, who served as chairman of the board since 2008, resigned, and the board of directors appointed Vagn Sørensen as its new chairman.
