Southwest Launches New Routes from San Jose, Burbank, New York, and Washington, D.C.

Southwest Airlines announced the launch of six new routes, a new weekend route, and an increase in frequency in seven existing routes.

Starting today, the airline is offering non-stop service between San Jose, California, and Tucson, Arizona; Burbank and Houston’s William P. Hobby Airport; and Burbank and Chicago Midway Airport. The flights will operate Sunday through Friday.

In addition, the Dallas-based carrier launched non-stop service between Oklahoma City and Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C. as well as New York’s LaGuardia Airport and New Orleans.

The airline also increased frequencies on numerous flights including San Jose, California with both Portland, Oregon and John Wayne Airport in Orange County; Reagan National in Washington, D.C. with both Nashville and Dallas; and LaGuardia Airport with Dallas Love Field, Denver, and Kansas City, Missouri.

Finally, Southwest began weekend service between Chicago Midway and Los Cabos International Airport in Mexico.
