Southwest Announces New Executive Appointments

Southwest Airlines announced multiple executive appointments and promotions on Friday.

Marilyn Post was promoted to the position of managing director, deputy general counsel. Post was previously associate general counsel for corporate and transactions. In addition, the airline’s board of directors elected her to the position of corporate secretary.

Sam Ford was promoted to the position of managing director for operational strategy and performance. Ford was previously senior director of operational strategy and performance.

Wally Devereaux was promoted to the position of managing director for cargo and charters. Devereaux was previously senior director of cargo and charters.

Finally, Ray Schuster was promoted to the position of managing director for accounting and financial reporting. He previously served as the airline’s assistant controller.
