Once on the aircraft, I was welcomed by the two members of the cabin crew that were in the galley. One immediately came to my seat and offered to hang up my jacket, however, no pre-departure beverage was offered.

I quickly found my seat, 1F, and settled in. The business-class cabin has standard coach seats in a 3-3 configuration although BA blocks the middle seat in each row with a table suitable for small items and drinks. I had the row to myself, although it didn’t really matter for the 90-minute flight.

Boarding was completely in a timely fashion and we closed the door ahead of schedule as coach seemed to be relatively empty.

The Airbus A319 pushed back at 9:03 a.m., eight minutes after the scheduled departure time. It was a bit of a taxi to the runway and, as a result, we were wheels up at 9:28 a.m.

Our flight path took us southeast from Heathrow towards Canterbury and then over the North Sea. After overflying Dunkirk and continuing towards Aachen and the German border, we We landed at 11:50 a.m. local time, ten minutes earlier than scheduled and proceeded directly to the gate, arriving there in a matter of minutes.
