All Nippon Airways announced plans to offer thrice-weekly Airbus A380 service from Tokyo Narita International Airport to Daniel K. Inouye Airport in Honolulu.

The Tokyo-based airline will also build a new lounge in Honolulu that will offer direct boarding of the aircraft.

The aircraft will have a total of 520 seats including eight in the first-class cabin, 56 in business, 73 premium economy seats, and 383 seats in coach, all on the lower deck.

The new service will launch on May 24, 2019. The airline will initially operate the A380 service on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays but will increase the frequency to ten times per week as of July 1,2019.
