Wow Air announced plans to offer non-stop service from Vancouver to Reykjavik.

The new route will launch in June 2019 and operate six times per week.

Wow will operate the flights using Airbus A321neo aircraft and will be the first airline to fly that type to the airport.

“The new route in Vancouver is a testament to our commitment to pursue growth in North America,” said Skúli Mogensen, the airline’s CEO.

The Reykjavik-based carrier is the launch customer for the Airbus A321neo. The aircraft is powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines and has a 218-seat layout.
