DSC_0759 (2)Virgin Atlantic announced it will operate a special flight from London to New York City in honor of WorldPride next June.

The flight will be hosted by Netflix star Tituss Burgess and will be operated by an LGBTQ crew.

The special voyage will travel from London Heathrow Airport to Newark Liberty International Airport on June 28, 2019, coinciding with WorldPride as that event marks the 50th anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall riots.

“We’re going to be pulling out all the stops,” said Mark Anderson, an executive vice president at the airline as well as its global lead for LGBT matters.

The eight-hour flight will include entertainment hosted by Burgess, the star of the hit show “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.” It will include an onboard DJ, drag queen bingo, inter-seat speed dating, live performances, and a Judy Garland sing-along.

The Stonewall riots, a serious of spontaneous demonstrations in 1969 against a police raid of the Stonewall Inn, are widely credited with having sparked the mainstream gay rights movement.
