United Airlines Celebrates Opening of New Flight Training Center in Denver

DSC_0825 (1)United Airlines unveiled its new pilot and flight attendant training center in Denver, Colorado.

The new facility – the largest in the world according to the airline – has more than 30 full flight simulators covering all of the different aircraft types that United operates.

“This state-of-the-art flight training center symbolizes the investments we’re making in our people and our company, both in Denver and throughout our network,” said United CEO Oscar Munoz in a statement.

Over 12,000 pilots will visit the training center at least once a year for training on new aircraft as well as recurrent training. United instructors also train personnel from two dozen airlines and multiple government agencies.

The Mile High City facility also conducts emergency trainingfor flight attendants and maintenance technicians.
