Lufthansa to Add Non-Stop Service Between Frankfurt and Austin

Lufthansa said it will launch service linking Frankfurt with Austin next year.

Austin will be the carrier’s third destination in Texas when it launches on May 3, 2019. Lufthansa will operate the flight five days a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

The flights will depart Austin-Bergstrom International Airport at 4 p.m. and arrive at Frankfurt Airport the following day at 9:05 a.m. Flights from Frankfurt to Austin will leave at 10 a.m. and arrive at 2:05 p.m.

The airline will operate the route using Airbus A330-300 aircraft with 42 fully lie-flat seats in business class, 28 recliner seats in premium economy, and 185 seats in coach. Business-class seats are 20.5” in width and extend into a 78” bed. Premium-economy seats are 18” wide and the seat pitch is 38”.
