Hilton announced plans to open a Canopy by Hilton hotel in São Paulo, Brazil, next year.

The Canopy by Hilton São Paulo Jardins will be a gut renovation of an existing hotel on the site.

The hotel will offer 98 rooms that reflect the city in design as well as what the hotelier calls an “intimate” lobby with “chic” design elements.  Amenities will include Canopy Central, an area of the hotel with a bar and restaurant that serves local cuisine, a lounge, a fitness center, and flexible meeting space.

The world’s first Canopy by Hilton opened in Iceland in 2016.  At the time, Hilton said that its new Canopy brand would incorporate five main elements into the design of each hotel, namely: great neighborhoods, market-driven approach, comfort and design, more included value, and a “positively yours” culture.

In addition, Canopy by Hilton hotels will offer local food and drinks at each property, as well as art from the respective local areas.  The hotelier said that “no two Canopy hotels will be the same.”
