DSC_0251 (1)Hertz announced that it has become the first non-airline affiliate of SkyTeam, one of the three worldwide airline alliances.

The alliance will allow SkyTeam members to earn frequent flyer miles and benefits that include up to a 10% discount on car rentals across the globe.

“Extending loyalty benefits beyond the airport is a natural step as we continue to add value to our customers’ everyday traveling lives,” said Mauro Oretti, SkyTeam’s vice president of marketing.

SkyTeam’s 20 member airlines carry 730 million passengers per year to over 1,000 destinations worldwide. Member airlines include Aeroflot, Aeromexico, Air France, China Southern, Delta Air Lines, KLM, Kenya Airways, Korean Air, and Vietnam Airlines.
