Hawaiian Airlines Sees Increase in Traffic, Drop in Load Factor, for September

IMG_1543Hawaiian Airlines announced operational results for September 2018.

The airline reported that it carried over 918,000 passengers in September, a record for the month and a 0.6% increase over the same period in 2017.

Traffic for the Honolulu-based carrier during the month was 1.45 billion RPMs, or revenue passenger miles, an increase of 5.8% from 1.37 billion RPMs in September 2017. The carrier’s total capacity for the month was up 9.6% to 1.73 billion ASMs, or available seat miles, from 1.58 billion ASMs last September.

Meanwhile, Hawaiian’s consolidated load factor was 83.6%, a 3 percentage point drop from 86.6% the previous September.
