JetBlue Inaugurates Ontario, California-New York Non-Stop Service
JetBlue Airways announced the return on Wednesday of non-stop service between John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York and Ontario International Airport in Southern California.
The flight is JetBlue’s 73rd destination from JFK.
JetBlue Flight 355 departed JFK at 6:35 p.m. local time and was slated to land in Ontario at 9:59 p.m. PDT.
“This is a great day for our airport and region as we welcome back JetBlue and its nonstop service to New York,” said Alan Wapner, president of the Ontario International Airport Authority.
The flight to the Inland Empire region comes as the region continues to grow. The San Bernardino-Riverside-Ontario metropolitan area is expected to see two million residents in the coming decades.
JetBlue is operating the flight with Airbus A320 aircraft equipped with 42 seats in Even More Space, the airline’s premium economy lite section, and 108 in coach. Premium economy lite-seats are 17.8” wide, the same as in coach, and have a pitch of 38” to 39”.
