Hawaiian Airlines Sees Increase in Traffic, Drop in Load Factor for August

DSC_0313 (1)Hawaiian Airlines announced operational results for August 2018.

The airline reported that it carried over one million passengers in August, a decrease of 0.2% the same period in 2017.

Traffic for the Honolulu-based carrier during the month was 1.56 billion RPMs, or revenue passenger miles, an increase of 7.6% from 1.45 billion RPMs in August 2017. The carrier’s total capacity for the month was up 9.9% to 1.85 billion ASMs, or available seat miles, from 1.68 billion ASMs last August.

Meanwhile, Hawaiian’s consolidated load factor was 84.4%, a 1.8 percentage point drop from 86.2% the previous August.
