IMG_2083Virgin Group and Virgin Atlantic announced a Virgin-wide loyalty program on Tuesday with the establishment of the Virgin Group Loyalty Company.

The move will extend the miles used as currency in Virgin Atlantic’s Flying Club frequent-flyer program across multiple Virgin brands. The new program’s goal is, in the words of the company, to reward customers for their loyalty to Virgin.

“Customers expect to be rewarded for their loyalty to Virgin and we want to ensure Virgin customers get the very best rewards possible,” said Andrew Swaffield, CEO of the new entity.

The Virgin Group Loyalty Company will be owned by Virgin Group and Delta Air Lines, while Virgin Atlantic’s Flying Club will continue to be owned and managed by the airline. Virgin Red, an existing loyalty unit within Virgin Group, will be integrated into the new entity.
