T-Mobile to Replace Robotized Customer Service with ‘Team of Experts’ and Offer Free Pandora Subscriptions

DSC_303 (1)T-Mobile USA announced a new approach to customer service, free access to a commercial-free version of the Pandora music app, and a partnership with Live Nation.

In the area of customer service, the self-proclaimed Uncarrier said it is discontinuing the use of automated attendants and directly connecting customers to local customer service teams, referring to them as “teams of experts.”

Calling the current model for customer service “broken,” the company said customers will speak with “a tight-knit team dedicated to you and others in your city,” adding that there are “no robots or automated phone menus.”

In addition, starting August 28, customers will have access to a free Pandora Plus subscription, accessible in the T-Mobile Tuesday app that day.

Finally, with its partnership with Live Nation, T-Mobile customers will get priority entry lanes at select amphitheaters, special concession stands only for T-Mobile customers, and complimentary lawn chairs for use during the event. Customers will also have access to two $25 tickets (inclusive of all fees and taxes) at select events and also have access to seats in reserved sections that aren’t available to the general public.
