Priority Pass, the airport lounge program operated by the Collinson Group, said Tuesday it plans to raise the fee some members pay for lounge entry and guests.

The change, which goes into effect on October 1, will raise the fee from $27 to $32.

Collinson Group said that the rising cost of doing business was the reason behind the increase.

“It has been over 10 years since we have increased our visit fees and during this time we have done all we can to absorb the rising costs of providing airport lounge access to our Members,” the company said in a statement.

Multiple Priority Pass memberships, including several from American Express, provide complimentary lounge access for the member and up to two guests, while some memberships require a fee for guests or limit member entry to ten visits, after which an entry fee is imposed.
