Marriott International introduced version 8.0 of its three apps, Starwood Preferred Guest, Marriott Rewards, and Ritz-Carlton Hotels.

The new apps launched on Sunday in conjunction with the debut of the hotel chain’s new and as of yet unnamed unified guest loyalty program.

All three apps allow the member to book stays at over 6,500 hotels under the Marriott umbrella; previously, each app could only be used to book with its own brand.

All three apps will provide details on new benefits and Marriott’s new elite status levels and the apps will display the average daily room rate in search results.

The SPG app, which is now also available in German and French, gains a slew of new features and functionality including the ability to check into a property 48 hours prior to arrival; enhancements to mobile requests for the room such as extra towels and toiletries; chat with customer service; and the ability to save preferences and favorite hotels for faster rebooking.
