Marriott Expands Partnership with PepsiCo

IMG_3916 (1)Marriott International announced on Wednesday an expansion of its current relationship with PepsiCo. PepsiCo’s beverage portfolio includes Pepsi, Tropicana, Aquafina, Mountain Dew, and Lipton Iced Tea.

Under the terms of the deal, PepsiCo will be the beverage provider for over 6,300 properties including legacy Starwood brands. The company has provided Marriott with carbonated beverages since 1992. These drinks are available in the hotels’ restaurants, bars, minibars, room service offerings, and lobby markets.

The two companies plan to work on various sustainability initiatives. In addition, the expanded agreement will allow PepsiCo to partner with Marriott’s guest loyalty program by providing access to sports and entertainment events to members.

Marriott completed its acquisition of Starwood Hotels and Resorts in September 2016. Starwood and Coca-Cola had a long-standing partnership for Coca-Cola to provide beverages to its properties.
