Lobby Bar – Fantastically Phantasmagorical

Duff your hat. Drivers and passengers alike were puzzled by new legislation in the Big Apple requiring Uber and Lyft drivers to wear caps. “It’s a return to civility, just like we had in the horse-and-buggy era,” said the city’s oldest resident, Mabel Clarence, who at 128, has a clear recollection of the transition from horse-drawn Hansom cabs to early electric- and gasoline-powered taxicabs in New York.

Toy Story. The new Central Terminal at LaGuardia Airport will get the world’s first in-airport FAO Schwarz toy store. It will also be the first airport establishment to only employ workers aged 12 and under, according to unofficial reports.

Typisch Deutsch. German airports can’t seem to catch a break. After airports in both Frankfurt and Munich were temporarily shut down after passengers were improperly screened, security screeners at Flughafen Berlin-Schönefeld freaked out when they saw sex toys in a checked bag. Instead of shutting the airport down, the screeners filled the errant bag with other sex toys they had lying around.

You can’t get here from there, maybe. New York City’s 42nd Street Shuttle takes passengers on a 90-second journey from Grand Central Terminal to Times Square. Every so often, however, the train’s engineer gets bored and detours across some of the city’s original BRT and IRT lines, making the journey about 90 minutes instead

It’s hard to be the Bard. Spend an evening with Johnny Blood and his girl Bella. Johnny shot a man and watched him die, while Bella slept with another guy. Then she dressed up like a nun and yes it was a lot of fun.
