DSC_0264JetBlue Airways announced the appointment of two independent directors to the company’s board of directors.

The new directors, who were already approved by the board, are B. Ben Baldanza and Sarah Robb O’Hagan.

“Their diverse experience as innovators across industries will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen the JetBlue business for our crewmembers,  customers and owners,” said Joel Peterson, the airline’s chairman, referring to the two appointees.

Mr. Baldanza held executive positions at Continental Airlines, Northwest Airlines, and US Airways and most recently served as CEO at Spirit Airways. Ms. Robb O’Hagan is CEO of Flywheel Sports, an indoor-cycling company whose resume includes marketing director at Virgin Atlantic Airways.

The addition of the two new directors brings the number of directors on the board to 11. Ten of those are independent.
