InterContinental Hotels Group announced IHG Business Edge, a new loyalty and travel program for smaller organizations.

The program is designed for companies with up to 250 employees and $50 million in annual revenue that spend a minimum of $5,000 with IHG. It offers discounted rates at almost all of IHG’s 5,400 properties, Gold Status for travelers after the first stay, and a management portal that consolidates travel data and bookings.

“We knew that there was an unmet need for a travel buying program specifically designed for SMEs,” said Derek DeCross, the hotelier’s senior vice president of global sales.

The hotelier said that it had already signed up 1,500 companies as members.
