IMG_3217California Pacific Airlines, a start-up carrier, announced plans to inaugurate service on November 1.

The West Coast airline will be based at McClellan-Palomar Airport in Carlsbad, California, and will offer non-stop flights to San Jose and Reno-Lake Tahoe at launch, and will add thrice-weekly service to Las Vegas on November 15.

“Today’s announcement marks the culmination of a multi-year effort that will bring significant convenience in air travel between San Diego’s North County and the top Western-Region destinations our community wants to fly to nonstop,” said the airline’s chairman, Ted Vallas.

California Pacific will operate the flights under the operating certificate of Aerodynamics Inc., which operates several essential air service routes as well as charters. Aerodynamics will be rebranded as California Pacific on September 1. It will use four 50-seat Embraer ERJ-145 jets at launch.
