American Airlines announced the launch of non-stop seasonal service linking the Dallas/Fort Worth area to Dublin, Ireland and Munich, Germany.

The new flights will go into service on June 6, 2019.  The Dublin flight is the first non-stop from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport to the Republic of Ireland’s capital.

“DFW anticipates tremendous growth in the year ahead,” said Sean Donohue, the airport’s CEO. “With nonstop service to Dublin and Munich, we’re offering two great new destinations, more travel choices, business connections and opportunities for tourism.”

Dublin is the capital of Ireland and that country’s largest city. It’s located at the mouth of the River Liffey and bordered on the south by the Wicklow Mountains.

Munich is the capital of the free state of Bavaria. It’s situated on the banks of the Isar River and north of the Bavarian Alps. It is the third largest city in Germany after Berlin and Hamburg.
