United to Add Washington, D.C.-Miami Flights Later This Year

United Airlines announced new seasonal non-stop service linking Washington, D.C. with Miami.

The new flights will begin service on December 19, 2018 and continue through March 30, 2019. The flights will operate once daily except between December 24, 2018 and January 6, 2019, when they will operate twice daily.

The Chicago-based airline also said it plans to temporarily increase the frequency of its flights between Washington Dulles and Miami to five daily starting November 28 and continuing through January 6. It will also increase its frequency from Dulles to Orlando to four between December 26, 2018 and January 26, 2019.

The airline will operate the new flights to Miami using Airbus A319 aircraft. The A319 has eight seats in its first class cabin, each 20.5” wide with a seat pitch of 37”. There are 42 standard seats in the carrier’s premium economy lite section, each with 34” of seat pitch, and 78 standard seats in coach, each with a seat pitch of 30”.
