Sixt Rent-a-Car, in partnership with Cadillac, announced on Tuesday the opening of its first New York City location.

To celebrate the event, the company unofficially renamed Manhattan’s Sixth Avenue “Sixt Avenue” with a parade of Cadillacs around the city and held an invitation-only event at Cadillac House in SoHo.

The new location is at 20 Morris Street near Battery Park and maintains a rental fleet comprised entirely of Cadillac sedans and SUVs.

In the past few years, the company, which has over 50 U.S. branches, has opened locations at Miami International, Seattle-Tacoma International, San Diego International, and Tampa International airports. Worldwide, Sixt operates over 2,000 locations in over 100 countries.

Sixt, headquartered in Pullach in Bavaria, began operations in the United States in 2011. It was founded in 1912 by Martin Sixt with a fleet of three vehicles.
