DSC_0463JetBlue Airways announced operational results for June 2018. The carrier said that its total traffic, capacity, and load factor were all up for the month.

The New York-based airline’s passenger traffic was 4.39 billion revenue passenger miles, or RPMs, a year-over-year increase of 7.8% from 4.08 billion RPMs in the same period last year.

JetBlue’s capacity also increased by 5.9% to 5.06 billion available seat miles, or ASMs, from 4.78 billion ASMs in June 2017.

Meanwhile, the carrier’s passenger load factor for the month was 87%, up 1.5 percentage points from 85.5% last June.

The airline said it expects Q2 revenue per available seat mile, or RASM, to decline 1.5%, citing holiday timing, a lower completion factor, and co-brand incentive payments as reasons for the decline.
