United Airlines Names Former Flight Attendant Senior VP of Inflight Services

DSC_0295United Airlines announced the appointment of John Slater to the position of senior vice president of inflight services. Slater previously served as vice president of the airline’s Chicago hub.

“John has the experience and passion to lead our Inflight team, and he brings with him a first-hand view of what it takes to deliver great service to our customers,” said Greg Hart, the airline’s chief operations officer.

Slater began his career as a flight attendant for People Express Airlines.

In a statement, the airline said he brings with him “decades of experience and a deep commitment to providing excellent customer service on board United’s flights.”
