Hyatt announced what it termed major changes to its Hyatt Place brand of hotels.

The changes cover multiple areas from guestroom design to dining to the lobby.

Guestrooms will be redesigned with furniture intended to keep guests “organized and productive” and will include three zones, one to sleep, one to work, and one to relax.  The rooms will feature premium mattresses, blackout shades, and warm-colored lighting.

The bathrooms will feature more counter space, improved lighting, and a mirror for shaving or make-up application, as well as a walk-in shower with a footrest.

Although it did not provide details, Hyatt said the lobby redesign will look to create an “energizing intersection” where guests may work, socialize, and have a drink.

Finally, Hyatt Place hotels will offer an improved breakfast, a new coffee bar, and a lounge that offers cocktails and dinner in the evening.
