IMG_3468 (1)Frontier Airlines announced a new frequent flyer program, myFrontier Miles, and a new credit card partnership with Barclays on Wednesday.

Under the new program, elite status may be earned only through credit card spend. Actual miles flown do not count towards elite status.

The new program has three status tiers, namely Elite20k, which gives travelers a free carry-on bag and seat assignment; Elite50k, which includes all Elite20k benefits plus family seating and seat assignments for the member as well as eight traveling companions; and Elite100k, which offers all benefits of Eilte50k status as well as a free checked bag for each person traveling, a complete refund if plans change, and the ability to change flights without any fees.

Travelers can attain Elite20k status by spending $20,000 on the updated Barclays Frontier Airlines World Mastercard. All cardholders receive priority boarding, a waiver on award redemption fees, and family pooling for a primary member and up to eight additional people.
