Delta Air Lines announced the Delta Sky Way, the airline’s $1.86 billion plan to modernize and connect Terminals 2, 3, and the Tom Bradley International Terminal at Los Angeles International Airport.

The Delta Sky Way – a 27-gate complex –  will include a private Delta One check-in area for Delta One passengers, a new Delta Sky Club; a centralized lobby and security checkpoint; an airside bridge connecting Terminals 2, 3, and B; new shops and restaurants; and improved access to electric outlets so passengers can recharge their devices.

“The Delta Sky Way at LAX project is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to invest in and transform the airport experience,” said the airline’s CEO, Ed Bastian.

The project will involve the complete rebuilding of Terminal 3 and construction is slated to begin this fall.
