IMG_3681Scandinavian Airlines announced the debut of in-flight Internet on short- and medium-haul flights between Scandinavia and other European destinations.

The new service, powered by Viasat, will give passengers gate-to-gate access to the Internet for personal devices from the time passengers board until they land.

Scandinavian has already installed the service on 28 of its aircraft. The carrier said that it will have the service on approximately 40 of its aircraft by September, with plans to have most of its fleet outfitted with the service by early 2020.

SAS Plus and EuroBonus Diamond and Gold members will have complimentary access to the service, while Silver members will have complimentary access during the launch period, which lasts through August 19. All other users will incur a fee.
